Are mortgage interest levels going to rise or drop? Last Wednesday's 0.25% interest rate hike by the Fed Funds was almost given for the year before the Fed's last few Fed meeting. The mortgage interest rate continues to move within a narrow spread. The relatively calm next two week will not be a period of sharp interest rate fluctuations, as they have clearly shown a tenacious vein, as the 30-year year is still below 4.00%.

Before the last round of Fed meeting of the Fed's global economic news committee (FOMC), the Fed had almost cabled its plans as it had in fact implemented a 0.25% rate hike, the first in almost a decade. 1.3 billion euros in the last week of the Fed's session. Market participants are still trying to find out whether the interest rate hike was justified, but the interest rate threshold was so widely anticipated that it had very little effect on overall mortgage interest levels.

The majority expects the next interest rate hike to take place sometime in early 2016. Meanwhile, we could see rate hikes below 4.00% in the coming few week.
