Mortgages are rising while mortgage rates are falling

Variable interest mortgage lending represented 6.4% of all mortgage requests, compared to 6.3% in the previous year.
The MBA says last week's median mortgage interest for a compliant 30-year fixed-rate mortgage climbed from 4.77% to 4.84%. Interest on a 30-year straight mortgage jumped from 4.72% to 4.76%. A 15-year fixed-rate mortgage's interest rates averaged 4.29%, up from 4.23%. A 5/1 variable mortgage loan contracted at a variable interest pace saw its interest rates rise from 4.09% to 4.17%, the highest in the MBA study's historical record.
Interest rates on a 30-year fixed-rate loan secured by the FHA remained stable at 4.78% for the second successive weeks.
