Consumers Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has taken actions against Planet Home Lending, LLC, a mortgage provider, for having accepted payment for brokerage of mortgages and misuse of loan records for promotional use. CFPB has also taken measures against Prospect Mortgage, LLC, a large mortgage financier, and two realtors who received Prospect's unlawful setbacks.

Prospect will be liable to a $3.5 million fine under the conditions of the lawsuit for its unlawful behavior, and mortgage agents and service providers will be liable to a total of $495,000 in damages to consumers, repayments of wrongful profits and fines.
